| Captain and Silver have been sold to loving homes with children. We are very happy with the people who bought them. Bob has been sold to a teenage girl that plans to start showing him in 2006.. Bennie is going to stay with us. Our son John has decided to keep Bennie as his own. John showed him at the ASPC Congress in August 2004 and won Champion Showmanship in the 7 & Under Classic Division. We are proud of both them seeing how it was a first time for both of them to show at Congress! John has started riding him and will show him in Equitation classes in 2006. Bennie has also been started on Hunter, Jumper and Halter Obstacle. Da Boys, as we call them, are American Classic Shetlands. Our first Shetland, Jackson, inspired us to acquire a few more to help promote this breed. These Boyz are an on going project. We purchased them in June, 2003, with the intentions of training them for a youth or amateur to show. Kelli Shaw of Elite Training and Showing helped us attain our goal of having these Boyz ready to sell. We are hoping to spark some new interest in the Shetland breed. Most people knew at least one Shetland Pony while growing up. I know my parents would not let us have one because they were notorious for being mean little things. When we started showing miniatures, we showed at the American Miniature Horse Registry (AMHR) shows. Most of these shows are combined with the American Shetland Pony Club and had Shetland Classes. To make a long story short, we just fell in love with the personality and the versatility of this "new" type of Shetland. |
